Rush Hour Ambulance

Whew. So my sister was in the hospital with a respiratory problem. So that was fun in DC rush hour trying to get across town. Run into William Schlickenmaier (not physically hit) on M Street while going 2 mph and he gives a me a shortcut through town. Kickin. So I get there and sit there and now I’m home. Four hours of a fun jaunt in DC. But I got to meet Carol Flaisher, one of the coolest ladies in the DC film industry, who promptly tried to set me up with her daughter. I can’t complain now can I?

Now back to work…

Hi Glenn, I have a question about the gem lingists in the Gemfile, which has been bugging me for a while now. How do you know what version numbers to put against each gem? I thought the purpose of Bundler was to work out all the dependencies for you, so that you don't need to specify the versions explicitly. I see lots of rails tutorials that take the approach you have, so it obviously seems like a good idea, but I wouldn't know where to start working out which version numbers I should put in. Can you put me straight? Tim
