the bachelor

Drew’s Bachelor party was this weekend. All in all a tame affair. We hit dinner at the Main Street Brewing Company in Richmond, then went to a Braves game at the Diamond (Richmond Braves mind you) and then went to see Nashville Pussy at the Canal Club. Felt like we walked into a biker movie. Talk about not dressing the part at a heavy metal show. We were such the casual khaki and birkenstock look. Everyone else? Motor head tee shirts.

It’s still a bit weird that he’s two weeks away from being married. Watch out, pretty soon it’ll be kids and talking about the golf swing ;)

  1. Drew says:

Yea, and don't forget about the band itself -- with titles like "You Give Drugs a Bad Name" and "Keep on Fuckin'", you know it's got to be good. Also, two hardcore chicks playing in the band, one a smokin' guitar player, who was talented enough to solo and take off her shirt at the same time. Oh, and the "softcore porn" action, as John liked to call it...go check them out, bring your black leather jacket!

It was a definite experience, to say the least...

I just dig the fact that their album is named "Let Them Eat Pussy." Every time they've played up here in Rochester, they get rave reviews. I'd go check em out, definitely.

  3. Justin says:

    Nashville Pussy rocks. That's all there is to it. Even though they lost their old bass player (who kicked some f-ing ass!), they still know how to rock. The bass player, Corey Parks, used to breathe fire on stage, but <a href="" rel="nofollow">she's been gone</a> for a little while. I'm in love with her. <a href="" rel="nofollow">Take a look</a>. I'm telling you... Rednecks get a bum rap: <a href="" rel="nofollow">I</a> <a href="" rel="nofollow">will</a> <a href="" rel="nofollow">be</a> <a href="" rel="nofollow">a</a> <a href="" rel="nofollow">redneck</a> <a href="" rel="nofollow">anyday</a>, <a href="" rel="nofollow">baby</a>.

    There's also a <a href="" rel="nofollow">weblog</a>.

  4. Justin says:

    Yeah, <a href="" rel="nofollow">this one</a>, too.

  5. Chris Gillikin says:

I attended a Nashville P show a couple of summers ago in Norfolk,Va at the Boathouse. They opened up for Motorhead.Corey put on quite a performance.
