Yeah. I agree - this is mostly about web-dev. I am a .NET deeoelpvr with a background of mostly desktop apps with windows services for which VS and .NET is great for. I never considered using .NET for web development really. The past few months I have been working at a company creating a web application using MVC3. Also I'm forced to use TFS and TFS build for automation which I deeply despise ( I never knew how much of a pain it could be). If I could, I would first switch to SVN + Cruisecontrol for SCM and build automation, that would save half the work. After that I would look at other web dev languages and tools and seriously consider ruby/rails.
